About Christina

Christina has been a vegetarian for over 40 years, and it was that early interest in dietary and nutritional therapies that led to her pursuit of study in the Functional Nutrition and Functional Medicine. She has a Master of Science Degree in Human Nutrition and is also an IFMCP practitioner certified by the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine. In addition, over 26 years ago she delved into the Oriental Healing Arts of Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Licensed by the State Acupuncture Committee with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from OCOM, she has always been keen to learn more. She carries a Diplomate of Acupuncture from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists, alongside her Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor's College of Traditional Medicine in Santa Monica. She also studied in Shanghai, China and worked in the Hospital for Famous Chinese Doctors.

Later on, she furthered her skill set and enhanced her experience as a practitioner by attending Hahneman's College of Homeopathy and completing a three-and-a-half-year program under the top Homeopath doctors in the country. Since then, she has completed a three-year Shamanic program through the Foundation of Shamanic Studies, being taught by the infamous Michael Harner and Alicia Gates. This led to her training with indigenous Shamans deep in the Peruvian Amazon.

With an intensive interest in serving others as a conduit for healing, Christina honed her skills under the guidance of Carolyn Myss and Norm Shealy MD, two of the top medical intuitives in the country. She managed to attain certificates in energy healing and testing with Donna Eden. Eventually, she took an interest in bio-energetics medicine. She is also certified as a Kundalini yoga teacher and is a Plant Based Chef.

Among other accomplishments, Dr. Marino is also a Metaphysician holding a PH.D. in Metaphysics and completed of a four-year program in Energy Healing with the well-respected Barbara Brennan School of Healing.

Christina is well-rounded and thorough in her background and experience combining not just the physical aspects of health but also considering the mental and emotional side of healing the whole person. Her practical and philosophical approach to medicine demonstrates and emphasizes the fact that physical healing is inseparable from the mental, emotional, and spiritual healing of an individual.
